Global Warming is a serious problem and if we do not do something about it soon it will be too late (might already be).
This music video is not intended for giving knowledge on the issue as there are enough documentaries for this purpose. This music video will hopefully make you think about the seriousness of the situation.

The 2006 GTI Journey To The East
Lyrics by Tony Cacace, Jennifer De Guzman, Adam Loero
Performed by Tony Cacace, John Laporga, Adam Loero

—————————-
Here’s a little story I’ve got to tell
About 26 students you know so well
It started way back in history
With Dean Wei, Shirley Lin, and Dr. JT

It was four years ago, Dean Wei had an idear,
To send her students overseas, and kick them into gear,
in a foreign land
with a guiding hand
they would grow to be responsible, and an SJSU fan.

One single person she be,
But not alone in this valley.
She called her old friends
Those with Benjamins.
Money was the issue and to this they gave her ends.

Looking for a name,
One to get her by,
She asked herself one question
How’ bout GTI?

Sooooo next there were the logistics; to set the whole trip up
Two weeks spent in Asia was enough to get her stuck.
In came Shirley Lin, rising to the test
Her sprits were high, her skill were sharp, she had to be the best.

Quick on the phone and fast on the keys,
Lin had the businesses beg on their knees,
“Oh please send your students” is what they would say
“To make it worth your while, we’ll even pay their way”

That was that, the trip was set, except for one small thing
who would guide the students as they traveled through Beijing
Only one man was good enough for the job.
His name, Dr. Tsao, not Dr. Bob!

As the story goes the man became a hero,
But he needed twenty-six, none of them a zero.
We all sent in our stuff, we all said, “Choose me!”
And here we are today making history.

But now I’m getting ahead, ahead of my story.
We had a lot of work before we got the glory.
Goin’ to China,

Now I don’t want to brag, and I don’t want to boast
But Hitchin’ a ride were Barez and the Provost!
We were in the company of San Jose elite.
If you want to know the time, Barez has got the beat!

First stop on the trip, a rainy place to pave the way
Fourteen hours on a plane, and we were in Taipei!
We saw where they made the nuclear power,
Stuffed ourselves with dumplings, stayed out at all hours.

“Nee how” is what was said in place of hello,
“Shir Shir” meaning thank you,
and “Boo” meaning no.

We couldn’t stay long
The tour it was raging,
And what could be wrong
With going to Beijing?

We met the Prez at Google, we climbed the Great Wall
Scholars in the City–we were right on the ball.
On the street the boys chomped scorpion and snake
Then on to our next stop, a place famous for a lake.

In Honzow we were chillin’, the girls all drank tea…
We learned what was what at a conductor company.
Cruisin’ through the temple, listening to the monks,
Yeah, we were full of culture, not uneducated punks!

From hangzhou, to shanghai,
In an airplane we did fly
We stood on the corner, said to the girls, Ni How Ka “I”.

Shanghai is a city with a river called Huangpu.
We were out on the streets; we had so much to do.
Haggle with the vendors who call “Hey Lady!”
Watch out for the women who offer you “Massage-y!”

There is a new China being built in Pudong.
Chairman Mao is gone and they’re building it strong.
It’s the land of the future, land of bright light.
We shopped in the day and went out all night.

Not all good things gotta come to an end–
GTI will live forever, as long as we stay friends.
One more thing remains for us to do–
That’s why we’re here tonight: to say “Thank you!”
Nothing could be fina
For twenty-six cool cats but three were mad rhymas.

(Performed live on October 04, 2006, at the GTI Appreciation and Recognition Dinner, College of Engineering, San Jose State Univ.)

– Info About GTI –
In order for SJSU students to thrive in the highly competitive global economy, it is critical for them to develop international perspectives and knowledge. To this end, the College of Engineering has established a one-million-dollar Global Technology Initiative, whose mission is to give American students a global perspective with a focus on technology and business developments in the Asia-Pacific region. The donors of the Initiative are business leaders in the high-technology industry with strong business ties in the Silicon Valley and the Asia-Pacific region.

Global Lunia 3-10 History WalkthroughGlobal Lunia 3-10 History Walkthrough
Alright, Lunia novices and pros alike know that History Episode Three, Stage 10 is the final breaking point before being able to access the exclusive Legendary mode.

However, getting past it is no small obstacle to those who do not know what to expect, it can also mean failure on a massive scale.

Join me as I brave the 3-10 stage and point out how you can most effectively deal with the many challenges, starting with dangerous temple guards, and ending with Lache and Daru.

Here the player will see effective tactics on how to keep the party alive, learn about Daru’s attack patterns, and most importantly acquire the knowledge to topple this Orcish punk.

If this interests you, sit tight, buckle your seat belt and watch as we stroll through the level and blaze through Daru.

As a special Footnote, you’ll notice that there were a total of two recordings that have taken place. This is due to my recording software glitching where the screen was frozen :(. The making of this video took three total runs–each a success with every one of our party members pulling out of it alive.

Knight for the win.

Special, Special Thanks to: Kreig (samicool10 on MyLunia.net) (*Soldin*), a knight ingame who has changed my outlook on knights, and provided me lots of awesome insight on how to best effectively play the way I do now.

Karl MarxKarl Marx
This was an assignment I had to do for Theory of Knowledge. I had to address a basic problem of current knowledge, state a unique anecdote about Marx, and talk about a TOK topic.

I reference the book, “The Pirates! In an Adventure with Communists.” I highly suggest you check this book out by Gideon Defoe. It’s quite hillarious for those who know a bit about Karl Marx and Communism.

British Transport Police Get Flying Drones

The British Transport Police have new toys to play with - a $60,000 remote controlled flying robot to be exact. It seems that theft of metal on British railways is a nagging problem that needs to be resolved as soon as possible, hence the introduction of such expensive Microdrones to help the Transport Police with their surveillance and investigation work.

Each of these 2-feet wide robots come with an integrated infra-red camera and video to capture culprits in action no matter the time of the day, and can send these images and video within a 500 yard range to the operator. I wonder what a normal civilian would do with one of these - start his/her own voyeur site, perhaps?Permalink | Comment | Uberbargain | Uberphones.

Asus Takes Bamboo Seriously With Concepts

Asus is toying with the idea of including bamboo as part of its construction material in these new concept products at CeBIT 2008. Some of these include a couple of bamboo laptops, a bamboo monitor and a bamboo-covered PC. I think these are nothing but fire hazards, as wood (technically bamboo is a grass. . . ) is definitely much easier to catch fire from overheated laptop batteries compared to a standard plastic and metal case that we currently have.

Norhtech of Thailand paraded its UMPC at CeBIT 2008, offering yet another alternative in the rapidly expanding market of simple, efficient, portable and cheap computers. So far from the marketing strategy seen at CeBIT, this unit known as the Gecko will probably head towards Nigeria although it ought to make its way to other territories around the world albeit under a different brand name.
