Covert Bodyworn Button Camera with Portable Video Recorder

The body worn camera kit consists of a MPEG video recorder unit and a tiny pinhole camera where the lens looks like a normal black button. The idea of the unit is that you conceal the camera about your person or hidden in a bag for covert filming. Since the camera lens is hidden in the button, you’re able to place the camera where it has a greater field of view without attracting attention.

In this review, I’ll highlight the best features of both the recorder unit and the camera. (more…) Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. Elonex ONE toyed with on video

Filed under: Laptops, Tablet PCs Sure enough, that 100 quid laptop we heard about early last week is already making the rounds, as the BBC caught up with the ONE at The Education Show in Birmingham, England. Granted, this thing is far from stylish (okay, so it’s downright ugly), but it’s hard to expect too much more given the ultra-low price tag. Satisfy your curiosity by checking out a minute long clip of the unit in action — go on, it’s right there in the read link.

Microsoft WorldWide Telescope in Awesome Video Action (Verdict: My God, It’s Full of Stars) [Space]

The image associated with this position is best viewed with a browser. Witness the power of the Microsoft WorldWide fully operational telescope, as Roy Gould and Curtis Wong rise to the hearing on TED through this impressive software effort. Some experts say that Telescope Around the world, which brings together terabytes of information from telescopes around the world to make a seamless delivery of the entire known universe, it will change the way in which human beings-the normal understanding the cosmos.

Some experts say that Telescope Around the world, which brings together terabytes of information from telescopes around the world to make a seamless delivery of the entire known universe, it will change the way in which human beings-the normal understanding the cosmos. After seeing him in action, I agree: We will have to wait until it is released to see how it works in a humble PC, but I can not wait for my turn to three meters across the projection screen on the bridge of the Enterprise .

Tandem Z1 Chinook Minicopter Flying (and Crashing) on Video [Tandem Z1]

newVideoPlayer(”Chinook1. flv”, 475, 376,”");My new Tandem Z1 Chinook finally arrived. And guess what? Two rotors and proper six-way control actually does equal twice the crashes. At least while starting out, anyway— just like a real helicopter these things are a bugger to learn to control. Balancing throttle, forward, backwards, turning and the trimming controls felt like it needed about three extra hands.

The four-way steering joystick comes with a plug-in limiter so you can get the hang of things while starting out. The attention to detail on the model is great: it’s even got undercarriage and a switchable nose searchlight. Despite the extra complexity of the design, the styrofoam seems pretty resilient, and has survived a hundred crashes with only a few dents.

Zune survey points to video downloads

Filed under: Portable Audio, Portable Video Apparently, video is all the rage these days. Just ask the folks who received a survey from Microsoft about services which may or may not be coming to the Zune. It’s possible your heart might skip a beat when you read questions like, “I would rather download a movies from an online service than buy a DVD,” or, “My friends and I regularly send each other links to online videos.

” Though the question, “I’m willing to carry a larger MP3 player if it improves the quality of the display,” could just be suggesting a new Zune-XXXL is on the way. Regardless of what it you take away from these cryptic messages, remember one thing: just like that Netflix survey, this may not mean anything at all. DivX’s Stage 6 Streaming Video Site Shutting Down [Stage 6]

It can only be vaguely aware of Stage 6 DivX video site (which probably explains why it was not successful), but it's going to be quite close by the end of February. Stage 6 is DivX video like YouTube-site, which should provide a lot of streamable content for mobile living room and DivX players. The fact that it is canned spoke of how success is the effort.

We are not a discussion about the various levels of "success", but if you really are as "successful" in terms of being "profitable", we are not sure why DivX could not hire more employees to man Site. Having a website dedicated to providing content in the correct format would have been a good asset to have DivX as a "platform" is growing. .

Netgear HD/Video 5 GHz Wireless-N Kit Reviewed [Reviews]

PCMag has in its hands the new Netgear 802. 11n platform streaming, Netgear The HD / Video 5 GHz Wireless Networking Kit-N. Essentially a bridge wireless access point (router not included), the facility is intended to enable the full HD streaming room to room (ethernet enabled media devices) or simply a better gaming experience wireless (thus you will not see pwnd in Halo).

4 GHz counterparts. Those who intend to use the system for home theater should know that the optimal rate of transmission was only 15 feet away, which could hit one-way transfer speeds of 82 to 94 Mbps. But from 45 feet away and a word between the two boxes, the system still managed to hit speeds ranging from 68 to 74 Mbps. That's still pretty good, and pretty quickly to stream TV OFF THE EXIT AND HD smoothly.

Exploding Wind Turbine Video is Destruction Delicious [Clips]

Wind turbines are becoming increasingly ubiquitous thanks to its gradual decline in the costs of installation and relatively environmentally friendly energy production. It is a bit worrying, after seeing this wind turbine explosion dramatically. Preocupante may in fact be the wrong word-I believe the correct term is omfg-blast of wind turbines-destruction-is so successful-tastic.

Wind machines were used on the way back 200 BC by the Persians, who managed to put the wind crunchers used for grinding grain. Skip a couple of years ahead, and you have the first megawatts of wind turbines (pictured), which was installed on a hilltop in Rutland, Vermont and always power of the local network during World War II. The turbine was known as "Grandpa Knob.
