Pavilion dv2800t Artist Edition, HP and MTV Lovechild [Laptops]

“Created by young people, for young people,” the Pavilion dv2800t laptop adorned by the winning design from MTV/HP’s Global Design Competition has just gone on sale. Along with the colorful finish, the desktop wallpaper mirrors the style and buyers get a matching messenger bag as well. galleryPost(”dv2800t”, 3, “HP DV2800T”);Otherwise, the computer has pretty standard specs:Starting at $1,129.

So it’s a nice looking machine, but the whole package sounds a bit too matchy-matchy for our tastes. And while it looks a lot better than another silver box, why not just make more designs? Until then, we’ll opt to stick with the absolutely fantastic GelaSkins. Oh, but one little message to HP—when you make an artist edition laptop, there’s no need to slap the logo on the design.

MSI Puts Air Purifier Into Smokin’ PR620 Laptop [Laptops]

We get it, you’re not going to quit. So do everyone else at the library a favor and buy MSI’s PR620 laptop with built in “anion” air purifier. According to the unintentionally hilarious post at PCLaunches. com, the laptop releases 550,000 anions (aka negative ions) from its vent, “more than if you were right next to mountains and beaches. ” Meanwhile. . . The notebook absorbs dust particles in the air to prevent inhaling into human body, eliminating all possible contact to disease.

The PR620 also eliminate toxic gases in the air, destroying the “Silent Assisin[sic]”. The “Smoker-Free Quickly” function apparently clears “smog, dust and second cigarette smoke” in some kind of high-powered temporary blast. We’re actually not sure if or when this is coming to market, but we’ll be sure to let you know when it does. Smell you later! (Fake cough, fake cough, fake cough.

DreamCom 10, Ergonomic Laptop Transformer [Clips]

newVideoPlayer(”dreamcom_giz. flv”, 475, 376,”");The DreamCom 10 laptop is a pretty standard Intel-based computer (featuring UMTS/HSDPA) with one identifiable trick up its sleeve—the ability to transform into multiple configurations for improved user comfort. With an expandable neck and an attachable dock allowing for a tipi-like biped stance, we’re guessing the design is far less hunchback-inducing than our standard laptop.

And if it’s tough enough to withstand us bending the hell out of the hinges before we figure out all of its modes, the DreamCon 10 has some potential. [dreamcom via crunchgear].

Video Hands on With the 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC 900 [Laptops]

Just days after becoming official, JKK Mobile has unveiled a short video hands on with the Asus Eee PC 900. It is not definitive by any means, although they were generally impressed. Specifically, they were happy with the larger size and increased resolution (1024 x 600) on the 8. 9-inch screen. And the 1GB ram, 1. 3 megapixel camera and 8GB SSD (up to 12GB) is definitely an improvement over the original.

The P200 is available in Europe and Korea, retailing at around €999 ($1517), but it doesn’t look like it will be hitting Stateside shores too soon. If you’re thinking of importing, why not shed double the price on the better equipped X300 instead? [Gadgetell via Ubergizmo] .

Optimus Maximus For Notebooks?

The keyboard Optimus Maximus, but it is a luxury item that can be bought only a few due to its exorbitant price, but who have never thought about a design similar to a notebook? Although there is no official word that notebooks will receive such treatment, the idea as such is tempting - only if the costs can be driven down to a much more favourable position at the pocket.

Concept Optimus Maximus Laptop Has an OLED Keyboard Built In [Laptops]

This is pure speculation, but I can not help liking this laptop with a mockup Optimus Maximus-style keyboard OLED. Of course, which had an option of $ 1000 + which would not make much substantive good in the long run, but hey, people are paying the same amount for SSDs, so you know what he sells. Heck, you could even combine the two of the most ridiculously overpriced notebook ever.
