HP so confident in the UMPC 2133 it’s building 2m units?

Filed under: Laptops HP apparently was not kidding when he said that he expected people to buy new'2133 hot sub-notebook "without thinking": DigiTimes is now reporting that the company has hired Wistron to crank out two million units this year. This is a surprisingly high number - almost 10 percent of the portable HP worldwide sales last year - and even compared to the wild EeePC, which blew out expectations for the sale of 350000 units worldwide last quarter, or Samsung Q1,.

Moreover, while this is only a rumour and it could be totally wrong, in fact, we like to think HP is a product so good that is going to roll the dice a little. I guess we will find out soon enough, eh? [Via jkOnTheRun] Read | Permalink | Mail | Comments.
