Microsoft Halts Xbox 360 HD DVD Drive

Talk about kicking a man when he is down - Microsoft has decided to stop production of its Xbox 360 HD DVD peripheral drive what could be the final nail in the coffin HD DVD. Good thing the big M did not decide its full weight behind the inclusion of Toshiba HD DVD as a drive within the Xbox 360 in the first place, eh? Well, at least, you can buy an Xbox 360 HD DVD to the floor now - watch out for the firesales to be announced after this movement.

For those who have already picked up the HD DVD and not bother - Microsoft will continue to be the guarantee of his honor, but I wonder how much we are going to see action now ignored by the unit. Permalink | Commentary | Uberbargain | Uberphones.
