Green Freedom turns the air’s CO2 into auto-powering fuel
The air tired of not doing enough for you? Well, a new project called Liberty Green - led by researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory - seeks to improve the contribution of the air in our planet. The new technology could provide a method of extracting CO2 from the air and then convert the gas into fuel for cars or airplanes - thus creating a renewable energy source. The plan calls for the use of existing facilities, which derive from the need to build new facilities, which allows the environmental footprint is still relatively small. Obviously, it's not being put into practice yet, but this is a hopeful taste of things to come. [Via Inhabitat] Read | Permalink | Mail | Comments. |
