Intel SSDs To Hit 160GB

Intel P140 Z-drive solid state, but it is more than one predecessor units in the future (2008 to be exact). According to the Intel flash memory marketing head Troy Winslow, chipmakerwill be to introduce a series of 1. 8 and 2. 5, "which promotes some objective ultraportable devices at the end of this year. These new lines will capacities ranging from 80 GB to 160 GB friolera, which makes the latter much higher than the current king of the hill, a unit of solid state 128GB.

A segment of these new units will be based on the superior SATA II interface in order to increase the available bandwidth for data transfer, traditionally a weak point for SSDs normal in comparison with hard disks. There is no word on the pricing of this new range of SSDs well, but 2008 is definitely an interesting SSD year where development is concerned.
