Seven Alarm Clock

Seven alarm clock is one of the best designs of thought until I come so far through this device humble beginnings, and I am sure that you are inclined to agree with me. Designer Joel Escalona targets for waking through MP3 files with its creation, slowly increasing the volume until your poor ears that could not take no more, ensuring that getting out of bed through its ability to motion sensor.

Sara defines Rosh Hashanah for her Kindergarten ClassSara defines Rosh Hashanah for her Kindergarten Class
Sara was a ‘veteran’ of just seven days of kindergarten when whe volunteered to bring in a Shofar and show her class what it sounded like and to give a short explanation of Rosh Hashanah. As parents, we did not get to witness this presentation, but Sara was nice enough to read her ’speech’ for us which is what you are seeing here. The words Sara reads are: ‘Rosh Hashanah begins tonight at sundown. It is the Jewish New Year. This is the year 2007. For Jews, tonight will begin the year 5768. We say Happy New Year, or L’Shanah Tova. We eat apples and honey for a sweet new year. We go to Temple and blow the Shofar (a ram’s horn) The Shofar is like an alarm clock! It tells Jews to wake up and come to Temple!’ Ths short speech was written by Sara’s Mom. We think Sara did a great job in presenting this to her kindergarten class.

Into Pieces Ch. 17Into Pieces Ch. 17
The next day I awoke to Frankie jumping on my bed, and a very tired Nick standing over me, leaning on the bed with his eyes half shut. I moaned as I looked up at Frankie and Nick. I looked over at my clock. It was still dark out, and it hurt my eyes to look at the bright clock. After a few moments of my eyes adjusting to the blinding light of the alarm clock, I noticed what time it was. “5:00! Frankie!!” I screamed. It was 5 o’clock in the morning. Frankie was jumping on my bed, screaming at me to get up, and Nick was half standing, half leaning against my bed, with his eyes almost completely shut. By the looks of Nick, I guessed Frankie dragged Nick out of bed.

Frankie ripped off my sheets and grabbed my hands and pulled my hand. For a seven year old, he was very strong. I got up and they left me alone, while I quickly changed into some comfy jeans, and a light blue tank top. I grabbed a white hoodie and walked out into the hall. I saw nick and Frankie fully dressed. Nick was drinking a cup of coffee, and he handed me a cup. “I figured you’d need this…” I took the cup from him and thanked him.

“TIME TO GO!!!” Frankie screeched. I looked back in my room and noticed that Lilly hadn’t moved at all. She was such a deep sleeper. I turned my attention back to Frankie and Nick. Nick was trying to get Frankie to calm down. The house was completely dark, and everyone else was sleeping.

We walked down the stairs, Frankie was as hyper as ever. I looked at Nick as he held my hand. It wasn’t for long though, because the minute we stepped out of the house, Frankie barged in between us, and took his right hand in my left hand, and his left hand in Nick’s right hand. I looked down at Frankie and laughed as he stared up at me and flashed a huge smile. “It’s time to go!! Go! Go!!!” Frankie yelled. I laughed a little as I looked over at Nick. I shrugged a little as Nick smirked.

“So Frankie,” Nick stated, “Where do you want to go?” Frankie looked up at his big brother and smiled. “First, we go to IHop!” I laughed a little as I took the final sip of my coffee, and remembered what had happened at IHop…I smiled at the memory, and looked over at Nick, who was staring at me and smirking.

We stood outside for a little bit while we waited for the cab Nick had just called. We waited sitting on the steps, as the sun slowly rose. A few minutes later, we heard rocks crackling, as a yellow cab pulled up. Nick politely opened the door up for me, and I slid in the cab, moving over. I expected Nick to come and sit next to me, when little Frankie pushed by Nick and sat in the middle. Nick slowly got into the cab and shut the door and shot me an apologetic smile. I smiled at him and started talking to Frankie as Nick told the driver where to go.

A few minutes later, we arrived at IHop. We got out of the cab and Nick paid the driver. We turned to little Frankie as he ran into IHop. We sat down and ordered food. When we finished it was only 6:30. As we were walking out, I looked over at the bathrooms. I remembered the moment perfectly. I turned my attention back towards to Frankie and Nick and we started walking in a random direction. Then I realized that I had a whole day ahead of me, with Nick, and Frankie. Doing whatever Frankie wanted to do. Knowing Frankie, I was kind of scared for what he had in mind for us next…
