Pioneer Calls Plasma Biz Reports “Inaccurate” [TVs]
|
Regarding recent stories that Pioneer may cease manufacturing its own plasma TVs, and in doing so, presumably killing the acclaimed line Kuro TV, the company's North American division has this to say: The current press coverage was not released by Pioneer may therefore be Misleading and contains many inaccuracies. The statement continues: Pioneer comments show its business strategy each year seeking to maximize the profitability and efficiency. At this time, the company is not announcing any decision with respect to the manufacture of a single component of its plasma screens. We will announce the Pioneer screen strategy in detail in the briefing in Japan to be held in March and 7th through press for the rest of the world later that day. Stay abreast of the details for Friday, and meanwhile, do not believe everything they hear. |
