Microsoft TechFest 2008 Opens with the WorldWide Telescope Demo
I am going to Microsoft TechFest 2008 from Microsoft where research laboratories around the world display their best works (36 demos). At the opening dinner, we had a demonstration of the impressive World telescope, which was submitted on February 27 at the TED conference (see the video). Curtis Wong, principal researcher of Microsoft's Next Media Research group presented the project. The site allows them to create their tour of the world of a video recording of your browsing experience with your personal comments. We saw a tour conducted by a child of 6 years old. And of course (we are in the social web era!), Users can share with others. Socialization in the universe, wow! The website will be available for spring: www. Worldwidetelescope. |
