Fujitsu MB86H60 video decoder

Fujitsu has a spanking new video decoder IC known as MB86H60, and this time it has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 with full compatibility with the MPEG-2 standard and H. 264/AVC encoding formats. The MB86H60 has been slated to be used in television sets and set-top-boxes (STBs), capable of supporting HDTV broadcasting in Europe, in addition to seeking to be integrated into portable receivers.

Samples will start from the end of May this year onwards, retailing from $ 48 to pop after tax. It seems that the Europeans are going to be a lot of luck this time. Source: Tech-On!
